March is an incredible time to experience fly fishing in Coyhaique, Chile, and Vista Patagonia Lodge puts you right in the heart of it. With six full days of guided fishing, you’ll explore the incredible variety of Patagonia—from wild freestone rivers and intimate spring creeks to crystal-clear lakes holding some of the region’s largest brown and rainbow trout. March offers excellent terrestrial and streamer fishing, along with opportunities for technical dry-fly fishing on smaller waters. Each day is selected around current conditions and the group’s preferences, giving you the chance to experience a different piece of Patagonia every day. After a full day on the water, return to the lodge for great food, Chilean hospitality, and stories around the bar. It’s more than a fishing trip—it’s a true Patagonian adventure.

Accommodations at Vista Patagonia Lodge

After a full day exploring the rivers and streams of Chilean Patagonia, Vista Patagonia Lodge offers a comfortable and modern place to relax and recharge. The lodge features just four private guest rooms, creating an intimate atmosphere where every guest receives personal attention. Each room has two full-length beds with premium mattresses and linens, a private en-suite bathroom, private deck, heating, storage, rod racks, coffee maker, and Wi-Fi. Large windows provide beautiful views of the surrounding Andes and McKay Mountain.

The lodge itself is designed to feel more like a welcoming Patagonian home than a traditional fishing lodge. Guests can unwind in the cozy den beside the wood-burning stove, enjoy a drink at the bar, or gather around the communal table for chef-prepared Chilean cuisine and stories from the day's fishing. Hosted Trip Experience

On every Flyquest hosted trip, a dedicated Flyquest team member travels with the group to ensure your adventure runs smoothly from start to finish. Your host works closely with the lodge staff to coordinate transfers, assign guides, manage daily logistics, and ensure expectations are met on and off the water. If any challenges arise, your host is there to troubleshoot and keep everything on track.
